Product Code: B-9111 PERA SANDCOAT is a water based binder to be added to clean, sieved sand for a natural sand –plaster finish. PROPERTIES DATA UNITS Resin Type Acrylic - Drying Times - Touch Dry N/A minutes Drying Times - Hard Dry N/A hours Over coating Time N/A hours Recommended number of coats Depends on application - Surface Apperance Natural - Cleaning Solvent Water - Shelf Life 6 months Available Colours N/A - Unit Sizes and Weights 20Ltr =21.2kg, 5Ltr = 5.3kg, 1Ltr = 1.1kg Ltr = kg Coverage: Differs from applicator to applicator and different sand compositions. NEW PLASTERED WALLS: The plaster surface should first be sealed with Pera-Aqua Seal B-7 before the Sand-plaster is applied. To obtain a cracked clay finish, the sand must have a very high percentage of Clay content which must be plastered onto the wall about 4mm thick. PREVIOUSLY PAINTED WALLS: Clean surface; Seal with Pera-Aqua Seal B-7 and then apply Sand-plaster with a brush TROWEL APPLICATION: The sand should be mixed with Pera Sand-Coat B-911 in the following ratio: 5 kg Sand : 1L Pera Sand-Coat B-911 BRUSH / ROLLER APPLICATION: The most common mixing ratio for brush / roller application is: 6 Litre Sand : 2 Litre Water : 1,5 Litre Pera Sand-Coat B-911 Note: As sand composition differs from region to region, the mixing ratio might differ slightly. Therefore we recommend you doing your own trials on site prior to mixing larger quantities. The “Sand – plaster” can be mixed in a clean concrete mixer. This plaster gets very hard and dries quickly and will stick to the concrete mixer. It is thus very important to clean it regularly with clean water to avoid the plaster sticking to the concrete mixer. Gloves X Mask X Goggles X Swallowed Rinse mouth with water. Give water to drink.
